DES Fall meeting 2023
Date: Monday September 11th to Tuesday September 12th 2023
Location: Day 1: Statens Institut for Folkesundhed, Copenhagen; Day 2: Kulturhuset, Islands Brygge, Copenhagen
DAY 1 – Intended for junior researchers
The 1st day of the DES fall meeting is intended for junior researchers such as students, research assistants, PhD students, postdocs, assistant professors and other researchers.

Lecture: Introduction to selection in epidemiological research (30 min)
Workshop: Using quantitative bias analysis to address selection bias (1h30m)
12:30-13:30 Lunch
13:30-15:30 Discussion of own research
Each participant will submit an abstract of their own work, including a specification of 1-3 methodological questions/issues, which they would like to discuss. Time slots of 15-20 minutes will be allocated to each researcher (i.e., we will make groups of 6-8 students each) – the student should present their work, followed by feedback from peers and moderators + discussion of their questions

Participation fee for DES members:
1000 DKK for one day / 1500 DKK for both days
Participation fee for non-DES members:
There will be an extra fee of 250 DKK.
