08:30-09:00 Arrival & coffee
09:00-11:00 Hands on experience with Bayesian Statistics
This workshop session offers participants a practical, hands‑on introduction to Bayesian methods. Through simple exercises, code examples, and small case activities, participants will explore core Bayesian concepts and approaches. The workshop is intended for researchers at all career stages who wish to develop applied skills in Bayesian statistics.
11:00-11:30 Walk & talk
11:30-12:45 Restaurant lunch
13:00-15:00 Hands-on introduction to (one) approach for evaluating informative hypotheses
This workshop offers hands-on introduction to (one) approach for evaluating informative hypotheses, an alternative to null-hypothesis significance testing. GORIC(A) is a method to quantify the relative support for competing hypotheses by balancing model fit and complexity.
The workshop is hosted together with the National Institute of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark
