The board's justification
Lars is an excellent young epidemiological researcher, who despite his young PhD age, has already excelled in epidemiological research, methods development, teaching and dissemination. Lars has an impressive scientific production and has worked with complex epidemiological issues, e.g., using simulation studies and Bayesian symmetry analysis. Lars is an active communicator of epidemiological knowledge and methods, both within his group and as a teacher in courses hosted by the Danish Societies for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacology. Finally, Lars is publishing analysis code for most of his studies, thereby championing Open Science in epidemiology.
