Opening Seminar and reception for the new Section of Epidemiology at 


University of Copenhagen 

The Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, have formed a new Section of Epidemiology. The Section will contribute to the development of the field of theoretical epidemiology, with a specific focus on causal inference, complexity and life course epidemiology.

The new Section invites you to a seminar on Feb 22nd, where the senior faculty will present different viewpoints in epidemiology. Please see the invitation for details. 

The seminar is open to everyone.



Pharmacoepidemiology Summer School in Denmark 


Department of Clinical Epidemiology in Aarhus, Denmark is hosting its fifth annual pharmacoepidemiology summer school. The week-long course titled Assessing risks and benefits of treatments: methodological issues is a collection of advanced master classes taught by international experts in pharmacoepidemiology and comparative effectiveness research.

 

Target audience: PhD students, postdocs, clinicians, and other professionals seeking to advance their skills and knowledge. Basic to intermediate knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics is assumed.

 

Dates: 11-15 June 2018 in Grenaa, Denmark

 

Registration deadline: 15 May 2018 (Early Bird registration by 1 March 2018). Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Life History Research Society Conference 2018 PARIS May 30 – June 1


The Life History Research Society meeting welcomes researchers from around the world who conduct longitudinal research projects on a variety of developmental and health-related topics. Sessions will focus on new research relating to antisocial behaviour, mental and physical health, and psychosocial development, as well as methodologies, statistical analyses and problems specific to longitudinal research.
